A catch-all feature that is activated for a given email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the very same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be vital in case you run some company, for example. Since you may begin receiving junk emails, you can use the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters so as to receive only legitimate messages in your inbox. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting
You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet really intuitive, and it will allow you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a few mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and next to each one of them you will find a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this option, clicking on it once again will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain name, our system will alert you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
A catch-all address can be configured with several mouse clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated hosting package with us. The semi-dedicated hosting account will be administered through our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes using any domain name hosted there. To activate the catch-all option for a certain mailbox, you will have to click the button with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling this feature can be done in the very same fashion and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all feature has already been activated for a particular domain name, you’ll receive a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never edit or deactivate anything automatically.
